  1. What is a SmashNote?

    SmashNote is a publishing platform built with the musician in mind. Whether you are a professional, amateur, or hobbyist musician, SmashNote offers you an online identity. With a few clicks (well, maybe a few more), you can post audio samples, photos, event listings, news, biography, album information, and more.

  2. How am I billed for my SmashNote site?

    You are billed either monthly or yearly, you choose.  We use PayPal to process your payment, PayPal is safe, secure, and extremely reliable.

  3. How does SmashNote work?

    SmashNote is pretty simple.

    You start out by creating an account and selecting a few site settings.  Once you've entered all the necessary site information, you'll be taken to the admin interface where you can choose what pages your SmashNote site will have, and be able to enter all the content for those pages.

    Depending on your plan selection, you'll be able to add biographical information, news, events, photos, a discography, and even embed video.

  4. Do I need special software to create my SmashNote Web site?

    All you need to build a SmashNote Web site is a Web browser.  For all the bells and whistles, make sure JavaScript is enabled in your browser.

  5. Can I use my own domain name?

    Absolutely!  "Pro" plan subscribers have the option to use their own domain.

    A domain name is referring to the URL, for example, www.mypersonaldomain.com.

  6. How can I track my SmashNote Web site's page views?

    All SmashNote subscribers will be able to install Google Analytics.  Google Analytics is an industry leading Web site analysis tool.

    You'll have to create a Google Analytics account at www.google.com/analytics, when you get your Google Analytics number, you simply enter it into your SmashNote settings.
